Faith McClurg, LMT

about me 4.png

I graduated from Integrated Massage Therapy College, and passed the state exam in November 2022. Through school, I also completed an internship working an entry level position which allowed me to graduate with a total of 700+ hours of education.

I'm a firm believer in the numerous benefits tied to the basic forms of relaxing massage; however, I love to implement specially curated techniques to target your tense and troublesome areas. Some techniques I often use include: deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy, trigger point therapy, stretching techniques and myofascial release. I have completed additional courses in nerve impingement, sports massage and manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) and most recently, running cupping. I have decided to not add MLD as a full service, but I will use this technique when necessary. I will be continuing to grow my knowledge with the goal to add more services and techniques in the future.

Outside of massage, I love to spend time with family and friends. My hobbies include anything artistic or crafty so the list is endless. I love spending time outdoors, weather permitting. I also love baking and decorating cakes. It's been my newest favorite hobby. I recently took up crocheting and have enjoyed making practical things for family and myself.

My Studio

After finding myself in many different massage studios through my time in training, I knew that I wanted to provide a space that had color and life, but was soothing and comforting for my clients. My intention was for the studio to feel like you're on a short, luxurious retreat.

Expectations

✦ My studio is on the 2nd floor and does have steps outside as well. There is no elevator. Please be aware when booking.

✦ Please arrive 5-10 mins. early to your first appt. to complete intake paperwork.

✦ It's preferred that you remove all jewelry and tie your hair on top of your head. I do have hair ties in the room in case you forget!

✦ Please don't be afraid to speak up in your session. If you're feeling any discomfort, I will be happy to accommodate you!

✦ Post session: take your time getting off the table as you could be dizzy or lightheaded. Be sure to drink plenty of water. Especially for deep tissue massages, soreness is normal for up to 1-2 days. If soreness persists, and you are certain it occurred from the massage, please contact me.

Extras

✦ Extra time on Face + Scalp - $20

(+15 mins)

If you want your face and scalp to not shorten the rest of your massage, this add on is perfect to ensure it gets the attention it deserves. Enjoy targeted work to release tension in your scalp and face and feel an extra layer of pampering.

✦ Hot Stones - $15

By combining the soothing warmth of heated stones with traditional massage techniques, deep relaxation and relief from muscle tension come easily. Other benefits include enhanced circulation, stress reduction, and easing pain, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a calm and rejuvenating experience.

✦ Dynamic Cupping - $10

This type of cupping uses silicone cups to run across the muscles to help pull fascia layers apart and improve mobility. They are sometimes left in one spot for a few minutes but there is typically minimal marks left, if any at all.

✦ Warm Towels - $5

Soothe soreness and tightness with a warm towel in needed areas. Take a deep breath and enjoy the heat for a bit in this enhancement.
